Loopora AI is built local-first. The extension stores your memories in your browser's IndexedDB. We do not run a backend that receives, stores, or processes the contents of your conversations or saved memories.
What we do not collect
- Conversation contents from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
- The text of memories you save
- Prompts you send or receive
- Your name, email, IP address, or any account identifier
What we do collect
To validate the MVP and understand whether the product is useful, we collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregated telemetry:
- A random
install_id(generated withcrypto.randomUUID()) on first launch - The extension version
- Event names only:
memory_saved,search_performed,context_injected - A count of zip downloads from this landing page
No event payload contains your memory text, prompts, URLs, page content, or any identifier that could be linked back to you.
Optional OpenAI key
If you choose to enable semantic search, you can paste your own OpenAI API key into the extension. That key stays in your browser and is used directly against OpenAI's API. We never see it.
Sensitive-data filter
Before a memory is stored, the extension strips obvious secrets such as API keys, JWTs, and card numbers. This is a defense-in-depth measure, not a guarantee — please review previews before saving.
Children
Loopora AI is not directed to children under 13.
